LONG WHITE CLOUD

Long White Cloud (LWC) is a newly founded watch company based in New Zealand. We specialize in oil filled watches and aim to create an affordable range of oil filled watches. LWC was established in late 2021 by Daryl Haridas, a 17 year old student at the time in New Zealand.. We set out on a mission to create affordable oil filled watches for the market. Oil filled watches that are affordable at the time, could not be found in the market due to fact that the concept of oil filled watches is a relatively new idea, As a result, the only other oil filled watches in the market were in the $1000+ range. However, we here at LWC intend to fill that gap in the market by offering an affordable alternative. Which won't break the bank but will get you the same look. The benefits of oil filled watches include, a dramatic increase in the viewing angles of the watch, increase in the water resistance capabilities, a more lush colour of the dial while also making the dial appear as if to be on the watch crystal itself. Similar to that of a screen. All our watches are hand filled here in New Zealand.

The inspiration for the name "Long White Cloud" comes from the famous name that New Zealand is referred to. "Land of the Long White Cloud" This is a translation from the Maori name for NZ, Aotearoa. The name suits the country as it has two main islands that stretch out lengthways which make them appear like a cloud. The two islands are shielded by tall mountain ranges too where white clouds can be seen. This name also refers to the various cloud formations which helped the early Polynesian navigators and

settlers find the country.
